The in-house library allows you to borrow books and magazines free of charge from the bookshelves in the two lounges on the 1st and 2nd floor for your reading enjoyment during your stay in the hospital. Kindly return the reading material after you have finished reading.
The bus schedules are posted in the glass showcase in front of the Reception Desk.
The cosy Café Diakonissen and kiosk are located on the ground floor. Here you can enjoy home-made pastries and different drinks as well as small snacks. In addition, our café also offers changing menus and lunch specials.
Business hours: daily from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The City Bus schedule corresponds to the visiting hours of the Klinik Diakonissen. The bus stop is located to the east of the hospital entrance or you can use the bus stop at the train station.
To make the waiting time shorter for children, there is a children’s play area in the outpatient waiting area.
Companions for children of any age can be admitted. Up until a child’s fourth birthday, the stay for a companion is free of charge. After the fourth birthday, a graduated scale of fees will be charged.
The Klinik Diakonissen offers diabetes counselling. Diabetes education is also offered regularly. Our Administration Office (Tel. +43 3687 2020-2500) will be happy provide the information you require (schedule, costs, location).

Patients may send and receive faxes from the hospital for a fee. Please ask our nursing or reception staff more information.
The Schladming Red Cross can be reached at telephone number 03612 – 22144 via the Liezen District Office (for transportation requests). For emergencies, call the emergency number 144!
On the north side of the Klinik-Diakonissen is a spacious garden with plenty of seating. You can reach the patient park directly through the terrace of our café.
If necessary, you can arrange for visiting hairdresser Sabine Kahr (Tel. 0664-142 28 04) and pedicurist Marion Percht (Tel. 0664-532 35 34) to pamper you in your facility. Please contact the nursing staff to make an appointment.
In addition to toiletry products like toothpaste, shower gel, handkerchiefs, etc., you will also find nice gift items (also from the Schladming Deaconry workshop for the handicapped), sweets, and small snacks or vouchers to purchase items from the café.
During the time from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., you can obtain a daily newspaper from the Reception Desk. After 10:00 a.m., newspapers and magazines are available from the kiosk.
It is important to us to provide you good, wholesome food based on your medical condition. Your diet is prescribed by the doctor and coordinated by the Dietician to help you achieve the best possible recovery. Please bear this in mind when your visitors offer you food and Drinks.
Our Dietician is available for you on the 2nd floor (Station C).

There are three parent-child rooms in Station A for companions who want to stay with a child in the hospital. There is also a specially furnished playroom.
A parking area with approximately 140 parking bays is available day and night for a fee.
The short-term parking fee is:
€ 0.50 for the first hour and
€ 1.00 for every additional hour or part thereof
€ 12.00 daily rate
The short-term parking fee must be paid at the pay station in the parking garage before you retrieve your car. Please note that you will be allowed a maximum of 15 minutes from the time that your receipt of payment and exit ticket are issued until the time that the exit boom is lifted.
For inpatients who wish to park their cars in the parking garage, a weekly ticket is available at the Reception Desk for € 25.00.
Please give us feedback regarding your stay. Give us our suggestions, wishes, praise, and of course, your criticism as well. The nursing staff will provide you with questionnaires that you can fill out anonymously. Place the completed questionnaires in the letterbox located next to the entrance door to the hospital admissions office on the ground floor.
Your opinion is very important to us – it helps us improve the hospitalisation conditions for our patients.
Please be advised that the hospital cannot accept liability for any personal belongings of patients (glasses, clothing, toiletry articles, etc.). Valuables can be kept in the safe at the Reception Desk.
We only treat inpatients based on a physician’s orders. Our therapy goals are coordinated with the goals of the patient and basically consist of freedom from pain or pain mitigation, restoration of mobility, Independence in everyday life, restoration of the individual capacity to perfom activities of daily living.
Your post is delivered daily to your room by the nursing staff in the morning
Illnesses can often be difficult to handle. Our therapists, Uschi Matti (every Tuesday and Wednesday), Elisabeth Kopf (every Thursday and Friday) and Nicole Kurka (Mondays) are available to talk with you. Please arrange an appointment with your treating physician.
To find out a patient’s room number, please ask the Reception Desk or dial 91 inside the hospital or 03687/2020-0 from outside.
If you use the radio next to your bed or bring your own radio, kindly use earphones in order not to disturb your neighbour. Earphones can be purchased from the Reception Desk for € 3.00.
CT scans are performed only for inpatients.
The Reception Desk is located in the hospital Lobby and is staffed from 7:00 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. Dial 91 to reach Reception Desk from inside the hospital.
Smoking is permitted only in the main entrance area. Please note: the main entrance is closed after 7:30 p.m.!
Please be advised that smoking is prohibited everywhere else in the facility. Because we are a healthcare facility, we encourage our patients to be sensitive about smoking!
Perhaps you can use your stay with us as an opportunity to stop smoking. Consult your doctor, who will be happy with discuss smoking cessation therapy.
There is a television set in the patient lounges on the 1st and 2nd floors. televisions with cable connection and earphones are available in the special-rate rooms. In Station A, B, and C you can borrow a Television for a fee. Kindly use earphones so as not to disturb your neighbours. Earphones are available at the Reception Desk for a fee.
Toiletry items such as toothpaste, shower gel, handkerchiefs, etc. are available at the kiosk next to the café.
Your valuables can be deposited in the safe at the Reception Desk (Monday to Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.)
In the corridor to the outpatient clinics on the ground floor there is a coffee/tea/hot-chocolate vending machine and a coin-operated public telephone. There you will also find vending machines with drinks, sandwiches, and sweets.

We care about the environment. The Klinik-Diakonissen-Schladming has a programme of waste prevention and separation. Please observe the Information in your room and separate your waste. The hospital staff will be happy to help you if you have any questions.
WIFI is free for patients. You can obtain a ticket with the WIFI password from the Reception Desk.
The chaplains of the Protestant and Roman Catholic parishes visit our patients regularly and hold worship services:
Every Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. – Protestant worship service
Every Thursday at 7:00 p.m. – Catholic Mass
These Services are Held in the hospital chapel (entrance hall). The worship Services are also broadcast to Radio channel 18 in the wards (earphones) and on TV at channel 30. Of course, the Protestant and Roman Catholic clergy are also available to you.
If you want to speak to a member of the clergy, please notify the nursing staff, a social worker, psychotherapist, or your doctor.
You are welcome to visit our hospital chapel any time for quiet, prayer, and contemplation.
