Quality has a long tradition in healthcare. Over the decades, earlier approaches to quality control and quality assurance have developed into comprehensive quality management systems, which are now an integral part of modern hospitals.
At Klinik Diakonissen Schladming, quality management has been firmly established for many years. Our aim is to continuously develop and improve our medical and organisational processes in order to ensure safe, high-quality care for our patients.
Our quality management system is aligned with the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 quality management standard. The associated quality principles and structured processes provide an important foundation for our daily work and the ongoing development of our hospital.
In addition, specific medical focus areas of the hospital are regularly reviewed and certified by external bodies. The hospital, for example, operates certified centres in the fields of orthopaedics and traumatology as well as for the treatment of multiple sclerosis, which are subject to regular recertification.
At the heart of our understanding of quality are the needs and expectations of our patients, the safety of medical care, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
As part of the Diakoniewerk, our work is also guided by values shaped by the Christian tradition. These values influence the respectful way we interact with patients, relatives and staff, and form an important foundation of our work.
