Life without kidney is not possible. For decadees, dialysis has made it possible to replace the renal function lost by illness. In 1990, the Klinik Diakonissen Schladming opened a\u00a0dialysis Station to care for local and out-of-town patients (year-round “Holiday dialysis”).<\/p>\n

During the hospital remodelling in 2006, the dialysis facility was expanded from three to six treatment units. Ten years later, the number of dialysis performed has doubled. So in 2007 the dialysis facility was expanded to eight stations to cover the needs of the region.<\/p>\n
